From the very beginning, ETEM was founded on the principle to serve different markets and different applications in aluminum profiles extrusion. ETEM extrusion machines can handle different alloys- based on customer needs - and special alloys, explicitly for specified applications.
Alloy EN AW – 6xxx series.
The 6000 series alloys have long demonstrated extrusion properties suitable for most applications. They can be subjected to heat treatment rendering medium to high strength characteristics, satisfactory corrosion resistance when applied in sea proximity and when welding processes are applied.
EN AW-6005A. Aluminum alloy 6005 is often used in transport, structural engineering, e.g. Railways and precision engineering, furniture, ladder tubes and sections.
EN AW-6060. Aluminum alloy 6060 is commonly used for architectural sections for windows, doors, curtain walls, interior fittings, lighting, furniture and office equipment, structural applications where surface finish is important.
EN AW-6063. Aluminum alloy 6063 is typically used for architectural sections for windows, doors, curtain walls, interior fittings in commercial use and is highly suitable for anodizing.
EN AW-6061. Aluminum alloy 6082 can be typically seen in transport, scaffolding, bridges and general engineering due to its high strength.
EN AW-6082. Alloy 6082 can be typically seen in automotive, special trucks and trailers’ applications, transport, scaffolding, bridges and general engineering due to its high strength.
Alloy EN AW – 1xxx series.
The 1000 series alloys are known for their electrical conductivity and can be used for: electrical cables, automotive trim, chemical and food industry equipment, light reflectors and strips for heat exchangers.
